The bicoastal collaboration continues even as the world causes me to wonder if we will be around to commemorate the 20th anniversary of &&& in 2033.
Dave, Ethan, and I nonetheless have been beating the winter/world blues with a lot of nonsense and inanity. What is the point of it all without that?
This Sunday in Brooklyn, at 6:30 pm at Tiger Strikes Asteroid, 1329 Willoughby Ave Suite 2A, the three of us plus Nate Heiges as moderator will speak about our collaboration, the meaning of &&&, and working as artists in NYC. We are also working on a reciprocal joint visit to Nate’s radio show on March 3.
Dave and Ethan travelled a couple weeks ago into a different west coast weather event and put up the Oregon version of &&&2 at Ditch Projects. It’s open for another week. Images here.
+++Please save the date for Sara Greenberger Rafferty, An Audience, opening at DOCUMENT gallery in Chicago on Friday February 23. More soon on that.
Finally, I want to share a link from my workplace Pratt Institute who are organizing an expedient amazon wishlist to support migrants who are living the shelter complex on Hall Street in Brooklyn a few blocks away from our campus. Please consider buying a few things off the list here and have them sent to “Emma Legge’s address.” There are options at all price points and if you have an amazon account it’s very easy.
